Elodie Marais returns to the Canal & Croissant Mysteries with a new journey aboard Le Livre Vagabond — this time to Lyon in the warmth of early summer.

What begins as a few unhurried days of books, food and wandering through a new city draws Elodie into the working silk world of Croix-Rousse. Two respected silk houses appear to have produced strikingly similar versions of the same Jacquard design, and a professional dispute over authorship, memory and forgotten contributions quickly becomes impossible to contain.

When the scandal turns deadly, Elodie finds herself listening once again for the details that do not quite fit.
