Lea Norvik Introduces Private Terms

Lea Norvik is opening a new six-book series with Private Terms, a linked collection of adult lesbian relationship novels built around one recurring heroine: horse breeder Lily “Lil” Holt.

Lil is completely at home on the rural farm she runs with her older brother. She is practical, self-assured, unapologetically non-exclusive—and particularly fascinated by women whose public lives depend on authority. Executives, surgeons, judges and other women accustomed to making decisions become irresistible to someone who wonders what happens when, in private, they no longer have to.

Each novel brings Lil into the orbit of a different formidable woman, while the horses, machinery, family, lovers and daily work of Holt Ridge keep pulling her back to the life she has no intention of leaving. The series stays light, witty and sensual, but its longer question is increasingly difficult for Lil to avoid: she is very good at understanding everyone else’s terms. How well does she understand her own?

The series begins with The Executive, followed by The Surgeon, with four further novels planned across the Private Terms arc. By the sixth book, what began as Lil’s fascination with powerful women has become something much harder to control: the possibility that one of them may want a place in her ordinary life.
