About the book

A Sant Jordi book launch ends in murder inside the workshop where Collioure's traditional dragon is built.

Collioure is dressed for Sant Jordi: books, roses, crowded streets, and a great traditional dragon moving through the old town.

For Elodie, whose floating bookshop Le Livre Vagabond has come to town for the celebrations, the week should be about selling books, meeting readers, and keeping her black cat Pistou out of trouble. Instead, a book launch ends with Claire Vidal dead inside the Atelier where the town's beloved dragon is built and maintained.

Everyone seems to remember the festival differently. Timings do not quite match. Responsibilities were passed from one person to another in the middle of the procession, and old disagreements inside the Atelier begin to look very different once the police start asking questions. Even a child's drawing of the dragon may contain something nobody else noticed.

With Inspector Sabine following the evidence and Elodie refusing to turn suspicion into certainty before the facts support it, the mystery leads through friendships, old loyalties, unfinished plans, and a workshop where almost everyone has something at stake.

A Dragon Day Murder in Collioure is a warm Mediterranean cozy mystery about books, community, a black cat, and the dangerous distance between what people believe they know and what actually happened.
